Caspar Hodgson

I am constantly inspired by the social environment that surrounds me, and I use my work as a way to explore the aspects of it which I am most intrigued by. I have recently been looking at cultural patterns and social systems which affect and control us.

A large majority of my practice is made up of observational drawing. This method of working allows me to fully explore my subject, and is my way of working out how forms function together. Appropriate to the intention of the project, I like to manipulate these forms, or use them as reference to develop into something further.

In addition to working primarily in Illustration I also complement my practice with Moving Image, Photography and Design based work.
